Tuber auction rules

  1. We are requesting that if any members consider they will have surplus Double Hybrida Begonia Tubers, Multiflora Tubers. Also Rex, cane stemmed or other rhrizomatous begonias, which can be clean insect pest free growing plants, they can bring them along to be auctioned off.
  2. I appreciate that it is a little early to make this decision on spare tubers or plant material, but we are only trying to get more Members to attend the AGM.
  3. The Chairman of Secretary would appreciate if convenient, to know of your intentions before the day, but this does not prevent you bringing them along without notification.
  4. All plant material should be named and the growers initials included, together with a list of the box contents.
  5. Live bids will only be accepted at the auction, as no tubers will be posted on.
  6. The Auction will take place after the AGM.
  7. A 10% fee will be deducted from the sale price of the tubers or plant material, to go towards the additional cost of room hire.
  8. We would be obliged if potential buyers they could bring adequate loose change to assist with their purchase. Cheques can be accepted, backed with the necessary card, a card reader may be available on the day for convenience.
  9. The Auctioneers bid taken, will be on the drop of the gavel.
  10. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect the tuber or plants before purchase for condition and health.
