HOT OFF THE PRESS. Blackmore and Langdon have been awarded the prestigious Chelsea Gold Medal, for an outstanding stand of Begonias and Delphiniums. Praised by the judges as being outstanding and awarded the Gold Medal.

22/05/2023, 10:05 – Ian Williams: The hard work of four days and overnight preparing, has produced this magnificent Blackmore and Langdon stand at Chelsea Flower Show.
The Delphiniums were prepared last Thurday and ferried to Chelsea on Friday, for staging. Then the journey back to the nursery, to prepare and load the begonias, that were taken to the Show, late Saturday night, early hours of Sunday morning for staging. Very little sleep, before final preparation through Sunday.
Crack of dawn Monday morning to check the stand, before judging this morning, Monday, 22nd, May.
Will not know the results for a while, until judges compile the results.
The hard work continues, until Saturday, 27th, May, when one hundred and sixty eight
thousands of visitors’, visit Chelsea, it’s a continuous question and answer, session, when the enthusiastic public enquire about the cultivation of Delphiniums and Begonias.

Today, the begonias destined for the Royal Chelsea Show, were selected from these on display.
They look outstanding, the health of the plant can be seen in the leaved, they look stunning.
Nick and Simon, travelled earlier today with a van full of Delphiniums and ferns to Chelsea, where they will be staged, this evening and tomorrow.
Late tomorrow night, the begonias will follow and will be staged early Sunday morning and afternoon.
The stands will be judged on Monday.
We wish B & L. every success- they have worked so hard throughout the year, in order to get their plants in A1 condition for Chelsea.

These A1 pots, are destined for Chelsea Flower Show , on Blackmore and Langdon’s stand, commencing Monday, 21st, May 2023.

They will be further developed by 16th., April, 2023, when B & L., will open to Members’ of the N B S., to see.
There will also be an early sale of begonias, on that day, for N B S., Members’, from 9:00 AM., to 12:00 noon.
